Kenai Fjords National Park

Crowned by an icefield and carved by glaciers, Kenai Fjords is continually reshaped by ice and sea. Plants and animals adapt to incredibly dynamic conditions. Here, birds swim better than fly, mythical ice worms really do exist, and mammals are better adapted to life in water than on land. The diversity of life in Kenai Fjords is spectacular and includes puffins, oystercatchers, otters, sea lions, porpoises, orcas and humpback whales.
