Kenai National Wildlife Refuge
Kenai National Wildlife Refuge, often called Alaska in miniature, protects almost two million acres of forests, wetlands and mountains that are home to moose, bald eagles, caribou, wolves, brown bears and salmon. The refuge was first established in 1941 to protect moose populations. Today, the area is known for its outstanding recreational opportunities and is the most visited refuge in Alaska.
